The Italy Volleyball Drill is a drill Bill got from the USC Women’s head coach who saw Italy practicing the drill before the Olympics while on tour. The drill is a great team drill that puts a lot of pressure on your team to sideout on defense and score points on offense.
over the Net Pepper Volleyball Drill has become a very popular drill which we are seeing in a lot of practices all the way up to the USA National Team. The drill focuses on both lower ball control (Passing / Setting) and upper ball control (spiking / tipping / shooting with control).
Bill Ferguson Practice Serving Drill is a simple and great drill that highlights Bill’s goals of serving tough. The drill starts with two minutes of warmup serving followed by two minutes of deliberate serving where the players are serving a specific area. – Notice also the serving is done in the middle of practice, this is discussed in the video
Area 1 Defense Volleyball Drill with Bill Ferguson, USC practice during the breakout sessions. Great simple drill that can be used for players of all levels. It basically includes two hit balls, one hit from area 2 and one from area 4. The area 2 ball is the hard cross court hit while the area 4 is hit high at the players head.

Bill Ferguson Team Stations from USC Practice – Middle and Libero Volleyball Setting Drill. One of the biggest problems during transition is after the ball is dug on defense having a middle or libero set the ball effectively when the setter can not. Drill will help the middles with the accuracy of their sets.

STD Volleyball Drill – “Super Technical Drill” is a great drill to help area 2 and 4 hitters as well as blocking in area 2 and 4. The drill basically forces the ball to the outside where the outside hitters can only hit line or angle. This forces the hitter to improve spiking shots as they are now forced to work on all their shots.
