In this beach volleyball practice plan we filmed Tom Black and the LMU Lions Women’s NCAA Sand volleyball team. This practice along with the second practice in the series reveals a ton with regard to coaching NCAA Women’s Sand Volleyball. Unlike traditional sand volleyball coaching where the coach is coaching 2 -4 players normally with collegiate sand volleyball the coach is coaching a squad of players and multiple teams, often as many as 5-7 teams and 10-14 players. The results of your 5th best team have equal points as that of your best team and as such focusing on all your players getting better is critical for success.
In this practice you will get to see Tom manage all this and teach indoor players fundamentals for beach volleyball. This includes both skill and mental. Additionally in practice plan 2 in the series you will get to hear Tom’s positive thoughts on the impact of beach volleyball on his players indoor volleyball.
