This video is an introduction to Functional Movement Training with Eric Ilgenfritz on Volleyball1on1.com.
Functional Movement Training is a ranking and grading system that documents movement patterns that are key to normal function in sports or daily living. By screening these patterns, a trainer can readily identifies functional limitations and asymmetries. These are issues that can reduce the effects of functional training and physical conditioning and distort body awareness.
By identifying and tracking problems, exercises that will be most effective to restore proper movement and build strength in each individual can be recommended.
Andor Gyulai the owner of Volleyball1on1 in his quest to play on the FIVB sought out experts to help him get stronger physically as well as avoid injury especially given his age. Eric and his training systems were an important part of Andor’s training especially as it relates to volleyball injuries prevention.
