Alan was named the USA Men’s head coach in 2009. Knipe has been the Long Beach State head coach for 9 years with two of his players winning Olympic gold in 2008. Named the 2004 AVCA coach of the year Alan also has won the NCAA national championship as a player in 1991 and earned All-American honors at Long Beach State.
