This video will teach beach volleyball players and coaches correct volleyball passing footwork. This is video 2 in the series of beach volleyball passing videos with Steve Anderson. Important concepts discussed in this video include the first unsettle step that is used to start momentum and get the player moving in the correct direction.
From there Steve goes into the shuffle and the gallop step. The shuffle step is used to cover shorter distances to the ball when moving and takes place in groups of two whereas the gallop step covers larger distances to the ball and the player as a result will cross over their legs to move effectively.
Both steps must be learned and become automatic as well as the unsettle step in order for players to have passing serves in beach volleyball.
