This beach volleyball drill features a serve and two free balls. This drill focuses on both defense and offense and put allot of pressure on players to consistently side out.
In order to score the offense which receives 2 of the 3 balls has to sideout on all 3 balls. If the defense wins the sideout on 2 of the 3 balls they score a point and if the defense sideouts on one point and the offense 2 its a wash and no one scores a real point. The points are added and the players may have a goal of 7 total points to win the drill.
Note: After every three sideouts the ball is served by the other team. The sequence is serve, then the serving team receives a ball and then the original team that receive the first ball gets the final free ball.
The point is that you always need to sideout on free balls and service receipt.
The videos is at the end of volleyball lifting session at velocity plus a full beach practice. The players are tied Andor Gyulai most of all as he gets in shape to play more seriously.
